Weekend around town...

Here are a few shots from my long weekend with Victoria... one of my best friends from college who is visiting from Orange County. I took off Thursday and Friday and we spent the entire long weekend hanging around town... our first day included Harrods, scones and tea at the National Gallery, shopping in Covent Garden and dinner at a new Thai place off Fulham road.

We failed day one at taking pictures... here's the only one... in front of the National Gallery.

Breakfast day 2... mochas and full english breakfasts. What else?

Ran an errand by my work... this is the street I commute along every day (Fleet St)

Shopping on Regent Street. Did some serious damage as evidenced by my bags in the next pic.

Cute little street with Christmas decorations...

Took a stroll through Green park... my favorite way to take a break in the city during a long day of shopping!

Saturday morning. Notting Hill. She found some antique treasures, I was just glad to get out of the crowds.

Perfect Saturday. Shopping before our afternoon tea

TEA AT BROWN'S!!!!!! De. Light. Ful.

Sorry for the blur... the waitress was having issues.

After tea we headed to St. Martin in the Fields for the Beethoven's 5th Symphony & Ode to Joy concert.

Perfect ending to the perfect day!

Bath & the Cotswolds...

Perfect Mom (Rochelle's mom) and Rochelle's family friend Mary arrived 10 days ago with an agenda packed with more activities than we have fit into the past 2 months combined. Rochelle and I had a hard time keeping up, but we had soooooo much fun and were able to do so much in the past ten days the exhaustion was well worth it! First weekend - Bath.

Arriving in Bath early in the morning - Perfect Mom and her bag ladies

Dropped our stuff at the hotel and off to Stonehenge we went (after, of course, picking up some ice cream cones to go)

Group shot at Stonehenge

Trying to take the audio guide seriously.

Mother-daughter shot

Ha ha ha ha ha

Looking like fools, but I love the sky and green grass in this pic!

Shopping around town after Stonehenge

Wind and rain, such a great combo

Scenery around Bath... Bath Abbey and the Roman baths...

Sally Lun's Buns... with jam and clotted cream. Mine was cinnamon. The most delicious thing I've ever eaten in my life!

More pictures of Bath...

At the fashion museum... they had a dress up station for both kids and adults!!

Dinner at Loch Fynn... the lobster bisque was to die for!
We went to a service at night in the Bath Abbey... very pretty inside...
California girls not coping well with winter weather.
Perfect Mom and Mary met us for dinner in the financial district one night last week... this is what where we spend the majority of our time over here. Cool factoid for you - the Princess Royal will walk through these very doors on Monday for an olypmics meeting (Deloitte is a sponsor)!

Second weekend - the Cotswolds, Stratford upon Avon, and Warwick Castle!

Perfect Mom made us breakfast for our train ride... yummmmmmmm

First little stop in the Cotswolds... adorable

We made our way to Stratford and saw Anne Hathaway's house....

Waiting (alongside 900 high school students from France) to get inside.
Walking the town with our tour guide, Jenny. This candid little gem is right in front of William Shakespeare's birthplace. It's a framer. LOL

 Warwick castle!

Not a bad view.

Trying to immitate the wax figures throughout the musuem.... but looking like idiots instead.
